Navigating Legal Waters with Grace and Grit

Susie received her Bachelors Degree in Math, from Northwestern University. Having attended Northwestern her freshman year, she transferred to Stanford University her sophomore and junior years. She then took off a year and in that time decided to return to Northwestern for the completion of her college years. At both universities, Susie played varsity tennis and is, therefore, a strong supporter of Title IX.

 

After graduation, Susie began her career as an Industrial Engineer, working for Texas Instruments, and later became a Computer Data Analyst for General Electric. Susie then attended University of Houston Law Center where she was Articles Editor for the Law Review. Upon her graduation, she accepted an inhouse counsel position with Chevron. Susie remained with Chevron, rising to the level of Senior Counsel. At that time, Susie was a legal writing adjunct professor at University of Houston School of Law. She then joined a private practice. After that, she then spent six years as the Office Manager and Legal Counsel for BioTX Automation.

When she and her husband moved fulltime to their "country home" in Polk County, Texas, Susie became the Executive Director of Childrenz Haven, a non-profit dedicated to alleviating child abuse and its affects in Polk County, Texas. 

She left that position after five years to return to practicing law by joining the firm of Loring & Assoc. in Livingston, Texas where she practiced law for the past seven years.

 

Susie has given countless lectures on estate planning as well as sexual harassment, and other legal issues that are of interest in the community.
